FK-5-1-12 fire extinguishing agent Description 

FK-5-1-12 (perfluorohexanone) is a colorless, transparent, and insulating liquid at room temperature. FK-5-1-12 fire extinguishing agent is a new type which is the best replament of halon fire extinguishing agent. The fire extinguishing agent has Good environmental performance and low toxicity characteristics, with all-around performance such as high efficiency in fire fighting, environmental protection and cleanness, safe use, and no damage to electronic precision equipment.

FK5112 clean fire extinguishing agent has no destructive effect on the ozone layer, whose ODP is 0, the global warming coefficient (GWP) is 1.0, and the survival life (ALT) in the atmosphere is 0.014 years. Although the ODP value of the fluoroalkane halon replacement product is 0, its GWP value is relatively large, which harms global warming and climate change. The environmental performance of the FK-5-1-12 fire extinguishing agent meets the requirements of European and American environmental protection regulations. It is better than the widely used halon instead of HFC-227ea, HFC-236fa, and other fire extinguishing agents.

EXTINGUISHING METHOD
FK-5-1-12 extinguishes a fire primarily through heat absorption. The gaseous mixture created when FK-5-1-12 discharges into air has a much higher heat capacity than air alone. The gaseous mixture absorbs large amounts of heat due to the high heat capacity and extinguishes fires by sufficiently cooling the combustion zone. It is important to note, FK-5-1-12 does not use the depletion of oxygen to extinguish a fire. 

USE AND LIMITATIONS

Systems shall NOT be used on firesinvolving the following materials:	Chemicals or mixtures of chemicals that are capable of rapid oxidation in the absence ofair.(Examples include: Cellulose Nitrate and Gunpowder)
	Reactive metals such as Lithium, Sodium, Potassium, Magnesium, Titanium, Zirconium,Uranium, and Plutonium
	Metal hydrides such as Sodium Hydride and Lithium Aluminum Hydride
	Chemicals capable of undergoing auto-thermal decomposition.(Examples: Organic Peroxides and Hydrazine)
